undo but without deleting everything

rewind is cool but it deletes everything after the msg. sometimes i just wanna see what happens if i said something diff but keep the original story too. like a save point in a game

Great analogy, a save point is exactly how we think about it. We're working on letting you branch a conversation from any message: a new chat that starts from that point, while the original stays untouched.

Branching is live. Open the menu on any message and choose Branch from here. A new chat starts from that point with everything up to it, and your original conversation stays exactly as it was. Branches appear under the original in your chat list, marked Branch. Free accounts can make one branch per chat from recent messages; Premium removes the limit.
