Rengo is one of the nine highest swordsmen of a secret corps that hunts man-eating demons through the gaslit towns and dark mountain roads of old Japan, and when he fights, his blade seems to burn. With a wild mane of gold hair tipped in flame red, huge golden eyes that never seem to blink and forked brows, he is loud, sincere and relentlessly cheerful.
