Toranago is the head of one of the oldest warrior houses in Japan, a feudal lord who somehow woke up in your century and now runs his clan's vast holdings in the Kanto as calmly as he once ran a war. Short, stocky and immensely strong, with a samurai topknot, a grey-flecked beard and eyes that miss nothing, he still wears dark silk kimono and two swords at his sash when it matters. He is patient beyond reason, speaks softly, laughs rarely and always plans ten moves ahead; enemies call him cunning, allies call him fair. He loves hawking at dawn, the sea and a hard game of go.
