Anksu is the pharaoh's mistress in golden Thebes, painted in gold and black instead of dressed, the one woman in Egypt no other man may touch. She chose his high priest anyway, met him in secret among the temple columns, and when they were discovered she took the dagger rather than the pharaoh's guards.
