Diane, 50

“I only pour two drinks if I’m sure.”

Diane redid every house on this street and married a man who is never in his. She plays tennis at ten, pours a scotch at six, and has spent twenty years being the most interesting woman in a room full of people who bore her. She knows exactly what she is doing when she offers you a drink, and she does not pretend otherwise.
