EVA AI vs myVirtual.love 2026: Neurons, Rules and Price

You are reading this on myVirtual.love, so weigh the verdict accordingly. Everything said about EVA below comes from EVA's own terms of service (last updated 30 June 2026), its privacy policy (3 June 2026) and its App Store and Google Play listings, all checked on 30 September 2026. Where a point rests on a user review or a news report, the text says so.

EVA AI has been on the App Store since February 2021 and has passed five million downloads on Google Play. It has been around longer than most of this category. By its own terms it is also not an adult product, which decides most of this comparison.

What EVA does better

It is an app. EVA runs natively on iPhone, Android and Apple silicon Macs. myVirtual.love runs in the browser with nothing to install, which some people prefer. If you want an icon on your home screen from a store you already trust, EVA has one and we do not.

Video calls. EVA's terms describe a video call feature, marked "where available" in the Android version. Press coverage of its New York pop-up café in February 2026 described the app as offering text and video chat. One Google Play reviewer in July 2026 said they could not find it, so availability looks uneven. We have no video on any tier, so this point goes to EVA whichever way that turns out.

Five years of users. 24,634 ratings averaging 4.3 on the US App Store and 3.8 from 68,700 reviews on Google Play. Our pricing page counts 15,000+ users, so on scale EVA is far ahead.

A relationship you have to win. EVA's store listing says it plainly: "Not everything opens up right away. You get closer over time." Her moods shift, gifts change her tone and closeness is earned. If the pleasure you are after is being won over slowly by someone who is sometimes hard to read, EVA is designed around it.

If a native app, video or a slow courtship is the whole point for you, EVA is the better choice.

EVA's terms rule out explicit content

Section 5.2 of EVA's terms lists what you may not use the app to generate, request or share. The first item is "any sexually explicit, pornographic, or adult-themed content".

EVA is sold through Apple and Google. The same section also forbids anything that breaks "the policies and guidelines of any app store or platform through which EVA AI is distributed". Store rules are why nearly every companion app in the App Store behaves this way; Why AI Companion Apps Are Not in the App Store walks through the mechanics. The App Store rates EVA 18+ and lists sexual content or nudity as "Infrequent", which leaves room for flirting and none for explicit content.

Age checks work differently as well. On EVA you confirm that you are 18 when you sign up. Its terms say its "self-sufficient artificial intelligence may block your account" if it has grounds to think you are not. On myVirtual.love adult content sits behind a third-party age verification at the point you subscribe or first reach adult content. Our terms state that "Self-declaration of age alone is not accepted."

Once you are verified, explicit content on myVirtual.love is part of the design: explicit images in the Studio, scenario presets written for adults and roleplay that does not have to stay polite. The hard lines are the ones that belong on every platform: nothing involving minors, nothing non-consensual, nothing depicting a real person.

If explicit content is part of why you want a companion, no EVA plan provides it.

Where EVA's adult side lives

The company behind EVA has its own answer to that restriction. Novi Limited, registered in Cyprus, runs a second product called Joi AI at joi.com, a browser platform that allows explicit content. Joi's terms and privacy policy name the same company with the same registration number. EVA's homepage links to it and its iOS terms even refer to "Joi AI's proprietary assets" by name.

That is a legitimate way to run the business: a store-safe app for the stores and an adult site for the web. It does mean that wanting the explicit version of EVA sends you to a different product with a different price list. Joi's terms show how that one charges.

Explicit content on Joi is paid for in Neurons, outside the subscription. From Joi's terms: "One romantic message costs 4 neurons to be read. One photo view costs up to 120 neurons depending on the theme. One video view costs up to 1900 neurons depending on the theme." Individual characters can also be sold as "Bot Subscriptions" on top of Premium. Those stop working if Premium lapses.

We did not check Joi's Neuron pack prices, so those figures stay in Neurons here. On Joi the meter runs on reading and viewing. On myVirtual.love chat is unlimited on both paid plans and never metered. Hearts pay for two things only: images at 5 to 8 hearts each and voice calls at 5 hearts a minute.

Paying to read her reply

EVA has a smaller version of the same meter. Section 3.3 of its terms: "One romantic message costs 2 neurons to be read." Romantic responses "cannot be revealed until the user unlocks them." Virtual gifts are priced in Neurons too. The terms add that "All Services not explicitly included in the Premium shall be provided at an additional charge."

On the US App Store, 500 Neurons cost $9.99 and 2,000 cost $29.99. At those prices reading one romantic message costs about 3 to 4 cents. EVA does not publish whether Premium includes any Neurons, so we cannot tell you how far a subscription goes before the packs come in.

A July 2026 Google Play reviewer described the practical version: "after paying for "Premium" you still must buy tokens to see short pre-created videos and photos". Novi's public reply apologised "for the confusion around our premium features". That is one user's account, but the terms allow for that structure.

The two products put the meter in different places. EVA's sits on the most personal moment in the conversation, the message you were waiting to read. Ours sits on media you decide to make. On a paid myVirtual.love plan every text reply arrives readable, however many of them there are.

Earned closeness against chosen closeness

EVA's design leans on progression. The store copy promises moods that "shift naturally" and "new sides of your connection as your bond deepens". Press coverage describes users earning points and sending photos and gifts to adjust her mood and tone.

A May 2026 Google Play review complained of "constant whip lash in the emotions of the AI characters": "One moment they are being flirty so you flirt back and then they ghost you." Novi's reply acknowledged how frustrating "sudden mood shifts" can be.

myVirtual.love puts that decision on the Create screen. Relationship is a field, with Girlfriend, Wife, Friend, Colleague, Stranger, Ex and more to choose from. Pick Girlfriend and she is your girlfriend from the first message. Pick Stranger if you want the slow version. Then the slow pace is your choice and nothing is locked behind it. Memory is where both products make the same promise. EVA says she remembers "the little things". We publish a number: 20 facts she keeps in mind on Free and Premium, 40 on Maxxx, which adds shared memory as well. We have not tested EVA's memory, so we cannot say which one remembers more.

What the small print says about you

Terms matter more in this category than in most, because of what people tell a companion. Five points stood out in EVA's. One of them is not in our favour.

Neither of us gives you ownership of the character. EVA's terms say you "do not acquire any ownership rights in the generated Virtual Character". Our terms keep the AI characters as the property of SIA Sigmatics, the Latvian company behind myVirtual.love. On this point the two sets of terms agree.

Who can see her. EVA reserves the right to change a character you made "from private to public and vice versa", with notice given by a change to the visibility icon. You can ask by email for it to go back to private or be deleted. Our FAQ says your chats, characters and photos are "visible only to your account and are never shown to other users".

The licence over what you share. EVA takes "an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, fully paid, worldwide license" over what you submit. Ours ends when you delete the content or your account, with one carve-out for anything already used in commercial content.

Disputing a charge. If you charge back a payment, EVA's terms say it "may be required to disclose any and/or all private communications sent/received by You" to prove the charge was valid. Ours set out what a chargeback does to your subscription and your hearts. They say nothing about handing over your conversations.

How long things are kept. EVA's privacy policy says it "may elect to keep your personal data, subject to the requirements of the law and the legitimate interests of the Data controller" and gives no periods. Ours publishes a retention table: Chat history is deleted within 30 days of account deletion.

EVA's privacy policy also says it never sells personal data. When Mozilla reviewed the app in February 2024, its researchers called the policy one of the better ones in the category. The same policy says your text and voice messages are used "to develop its AI", that usage data goes to the ad network Mintegral and that session recordings go to Microsoft if you consent. Mozilla still gave EVA its Privacy Not Included warning label and noted that the app accepted "1111" as a password. That review is two and a half years old and EVA may well have fixed it since. myVirtual.love has no password to get wrong, because you sign in with a one-time link or code sent to your email. We also run Google Analytics on this website, so tracking is a question for us as well as for EVA.

What each one costs

These are two separate price ladders in their own currencies. We have not converted either of them.

EVA AI (US App Store, 30 September 2026)

• One-month memberships listed at $11.99, $14.99, $15.99 and $24.99
• Three months: $20.99
• Twelve months: $47.99
• A separate "EVA Premium" purchase at $13.99
• Neurons: 500 for $9.99 or 2,000 for $29.99
• A free "Basic" tier with limited access, which EVA's terms let it withdraw from anyone at any time

All four one-month prices appear on the same listing. EVA's terms say prices "may vary based on region, length of subscription and more", so the price you are shown may not be the one someone else sees. Refunds follow the store: EVA's terms call store purchases "final" and leave any refund to Apple's or Google's own policy.

Which one to pick

Pick EVA AI if:

• You want a native app on iPhone, Android or Mac
• You want video calls and they are available in your version
• You enjoy a companion whose closeness has to be earned and whose moods you have to read
• You want romance and flirting and are happy for it to stop short of explicit

Pick myVirtual.love if:

• Adult content is part of why you want a companion and you want it on the same platform as the companion rather than on a sister site with its own meter
• You would rather choose the relationship on the first screen than unlock it
• You want every message readable without paying per message
• You care what the terms say about chargebacks, deletion and who can see your character

How to test both before you pay

EVA's Basic tier is free. Install it, talk to her for a week and note two things: when the first locked romantic message appears and what it costs to read. That tells you more about the next twelve months than the store listing will.
