Swipey.ai vs myVirtual.love: Hearts, Video and Subscription Costs

Both platforms meter their paid features with a currency called hearts. Swipey gives you 200 a month on Premium. myVirtual.love gives you 100, 150, 200 or 300, depending on the plan and how you pay for it.

Those numbers do not compare directly, because the two platforms charge for different things. An image costs 5 hearts here. Swipey does not publish its prices, but reviews in 2026 put an image at 25 to 30 hearts and creating a character at 15. Creating a character costs nothing on myVirtual.love.

This piece covers what each product is built to do, what a month of included hearts buys on each, and what the subscriptions cost.

Swipey is built for discovery

Swipey is organised around browsing. You swipe through characters the way you would on a dating app, match with the ones you like, and scroll a TikTok-style feed of photos and videos from across the platform.

It has three kinds of character. Platform Models are curated by the Swipey team. Custom AI is what you build yourself, private to your account. Verified Creator Models are real content creators who built AI versions of themselves, each carrying a verification badge and a Fanclub that sells content from the person behind the AI. Those are consented likenesses rather than scraped ones, which is not the norm in this category.

So a Swipey subscription buys two things at once: an AI companion plus access to a content platform with a creator economy running through it.

What 200 hearts buys

Swipey Premium includes 200 hearts a month. Swipey does not publish what each action costs, so the figures here come from reviews: 25 to 30 hearts for an image, 15 for creating your own character, and 50 to 200 for unlocking a creator's post.

myVirtual.love charges 5 hearts for an image in chat (a high-quality Studio render is 8). Premium includes 100 hearts a month on monthly billing and 150 on annual; Maxxx includes 200 on monthly billing and 300 on annual. Creating a companion costs nothing beyond the subscription, however many times you rebuild her.

Spend a full month's allowance on images and nothing else, at 5 hearts an image here and the reported 25 to 30 on Swipey:

On images the entry plans are not close. Our Premium buys about three times as many as Swipey's allowance does, and our annual and Maxxx plans widen the gap.

Both platforms also meter voice calls. Ours cost 5 hearts a minute. Swipey does not publish a per-minute rate and I have not confirmed one, so voice stays out of the table rather than going in as a guess.

Hearts on both platforms are for sale on top of the subscription. Swipey sells them in packs, and reviewers list 220 hearts for $34.99, 520 for $49.99, 1,150 for $99.99 and 2,760 for $209.99. Work the rate back and an image at 25 to 30 hearts costs between about $1.90 and $4.77, depending on which of those packs you bought.

The 15 hearts before you have said anything

The charge worth noticing on Swipey is the one that comes before any content exists. Reviewers who tested it report that building your own character costs 15 hearts.

That price is small. What it changes is how you behave. A character you paid for is a character you are reluctant to scrap. Swipey does let you edit her appearance, personality and voice afterwards, but starting again from a blank screen means paying again. Iteration has a meter on it.

myVirtual.love does not charge for the create screen. Build her, talk to her for a day, decide the humor style is wrong and build her again. The subscription covers it. That is a smaller difference than video, and it is the one most people will not think to check before they buy.

Video is the real gap and the real heart sink

Swipey generates video. myVirtual.love has no video at all, on any tier. If a moving scene is the thing you are subscribing for, the comparison ends here and Swipey is the product.

It is metered steeply. A scene starts at five seconds and extends in steps to 10, 20, 30 and 60 seconds, and every step costs hearts. Swipey does not publish the prices; a review published in August 2026 puts five seconds at 40 hearts and the full sixty seconds at 350.

Premium includes 200 hearts a month. So on those figures, one sixty-second video costs more than the entire monthly allowance. Buy the hearts separately and that single minute of video runs somewhere between $27 and $56, depending on the pack you bought into.

Video on Swipey is real and it is good to have. It is not something you can do casually. A feature list that says "custom video scenes up to 60 seconds" does not tell you that one of them costs more than your month.

Where that arithmetic is unfair to Swipey

The 200 is a floor rather than a ceiling. Premium subscribers get free hearts every day automatically, plus more on top for chatting, taking voice calls, levelling up a relationship and hitting achievements. Swipey does not publish the daily amount, so I cannot tell you what an engaged user ends the month with. It is more than 200. If you show up daily and finish the quests, the numbers above move in Swipey's favour by an amount neither of us can check from outside.

The Fanclub layer is real value too. Content from a verified creator is not a generation we could undercut at five hearts, because there is a person on the other end of it being paid.

Where myVirtual.love sits

myVirtual.love is built around one companion, chosen or built deliberately, at a price that does not move between month one and month two.

The create screen asks about eighteen questions, most of them with a fixed set of answers. Style, realistic or anime. Ethnicity across five buckets, or species and skin tone for an anime character. Hair style, hair colour, eye colour, age from 18 to 60, height, body type, breast and booty size, makeup (realistic characters only) and clothing. Then the ones that decide how she talks. For a realistic character, Personality from eight options including Sweet & Caring, Bold & Confident, Shy & Sensitive and Dark & Mysterious, and Humor Style from ten including Sarcastic, Deadpan and Dry; an anime character picks from anime archetypes such as tsundere instead. Finally Relationship, a name, Occupation from a long list, Interests and a voice.

Swipey's own description of its create screen is appearance, personality, voice and backstory in about two minutes. That is faster than ours. It also mentions a backstory, which we do not ask for. Swipey does not publish the options behind each step, so I cannot tell you whether ours is deeper. Ours is enumerated, which means you know before you start what the product can render and what it cannot.

Memory is persistent and RAG-based. Chat is unlimited on paid plans. Images are 18+, in any pose. Anime is a full category rather than a visual skin, so an anime companion generates anime-styled images that stay in style.

Discovery products and companion products age differently

Swipey's design makes sense once you know the team came out of mobile gaming. Daily rewards, streaks, quests, relationship levels that unlock more personality as you go, a feed that keeps serving. Those are retention mechanics and they are well built.

That suits a specific reader. If what you want from this category is variety and something to scroll through, a platform optimised for exactly that is the correct purchase rather than a compromise. The reviewers who score Swipey highly are mostly describing that experience.

The complaint that recurs across the review sites is what happens after the novelty. "The novelty wears off." "Limited long-term value." "Hearts burn rate can feel grindy if you go deep." Those come from people who kept using a discovery product past the point where there was anything left to discover.

myVirtual.love has the opposite shape, with the opposite weakness. There is no feed. Beyond a catalogue of about 70 ready-made characters, there is little to browse once you have chosen or made her. A reader who wants novelty every evening will find it thin. That is a fair criticism rather than a misunderstanding of the product. What it is built for is the second month.

What each subscription costs

Swipey's prices are in dollars and ours are in euros, so these are two separate ladders rather than a converted comparison.

Swipey's own pricing page shows one figure, $7.99 a month, under the line "Billed monthly, cancel anytime." No billing ladder, no discount badges, no struck-through original price.

Reviewers who bought through the product describe a different surface. Several report a three-cadence ladder priced by the day at roughly $0.67 on one month, $0.53 on three months and $0.27 on twelve, which works out to about $20, $16 and $8 a month. Those are introductory rates. Where the accounts split is what they renew at. One review says the prices double after the first billing period. Another says the annual plan renews at $479.88 for the year. They cannot both be true, and I have not verified either.

Swipey's terms settle the mechanism without settling the number. Their wording: "Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) at the then-current price." Whatever you pay first is not a promise about what you pay second, so read the renewal line at checkout rather than the headline.

Two more clauses from the same document are worth knowing before you buy. On refunds: "All purchases are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by mandatory applicable law." And the allowance this whole article turns on is in there too: "A paid Subscription provides unlimited access to the messaging system and an allocation of 200 Tokens per month." Tokens in the terms, hearts in the marketing, same unit.

myVirtual.love:

• Premium: €9.90 a month, or €2.99 a month billed annually at €35.88 for the year
• Maxxx: €24.90 a month, or €7.49 a month billed annually at €89.88 for the year

Maxxx raises the allowance to 200 hearts a month, or 300 on annual billing, and adds group chat, personas and improved memory recall.

Both platforms have a free tier and neither asks for a card to start. Swipey's marketing lists character creation, gallery access, basic chat and the full explore feed as open before you pay; reviewers say a new account gets a few free hearts, which is what the 15-heart creation fee comes out of. Their terms put a number on the chat part: "Upon registration, you may exchange up to five (10) messages without payment." The sentence says five and writes ten, so read it as somewhere in that range rather than an evening of conversation. Browsing is the part of their free tier that is genuinely open.

Which one should you pick

Pick Swipey if:

• Video is on your must-have list. We have none, at any tier.
• Variety is the appeal and browsing is part of what you enjoy
• Content from real verified creators is something you would pay for
• You like a product that rewards showing up daily

Pick myVirtual.love if:

• You expect to rebuild her a few times before she is right, without paying per attempt
• Images are the point and you want 20 to 60 a month from your allowance rather than six to eight
• You want a committed price with no introductory rate to run out, at €2.99 a month billed annually
