How to Make Your Own AI Boyfriend, or Pick One

An AI boyfriend is only as good as the man you end up talking to. A charming first line is easy for any chatbot. What brings you back in week three is a specific person: his age, his job, how he speaks to you and what he is like when you are tired.

myVirtual.love gives you two ways to get him. You can pick one of the 70 men on the Guys page, or you can build your own on the Create screen, where a man gets fields of his own: facial hair, body type, a relationship to you and a personality you choose. Building him and chatting with him are both free.

Who the Guys section is for

Most of what this site has published assumes a man looking for a girlfriend. Plenty of people want the reverse. The Guys section is for anyone who wants a man on the other side of the chat: women, gay and bi men or anyone curious what a boyfriend written to their taste feels like.

The section has its own roster, its own filters and its own version of the Create screen. It is a full category with the same plans, photos and memory as the rest of the site.

Start with the men already there

The Guys page holds 70 characters, realistic and anime. You can filter by ethnicity, by hair (blonde, brunette, redhead, black or silver) or by type, with Athletic, Demons and Fantasy among the options. Each man arrives with an age and one line that tells you who he is. A few of the types you will find:

• The older man. Alejandro, 52: "A married Spanish gentleman with a vineyard, a wooden yacht and the whole summer to win you over." Richard, 48, is a silver-fox CEO who also happens to be your married boss.
• The ordinary man. Dave, 38: "Divorced, bearded, soft around the middle and always making far too much brisket for one." Mike, 43, is the married handyman next door whose wife is away for two weeks.
• The man with a serious job. Mateo, 29, runs into burning buildings for a living and finds telling you how he feels "somehow scarier". Daniel, 34, is a surgeon you meet in a hotel bar at two in the morning. Andre, 35, is a chef who cooks for the whole city and is "tasting for you" tonight.
• The easy charmer. Marco, 27, poured your first espresso on the harbour. Ryan, 32, is your personal trainer on the beach. Jake, 24, is the sunburnt neighbour with a nail gun and no shame about knocking on your wall.

Several of those setups are fantasies on purpose, married men and bosses among them. Every man on the roster is an adult character.

If none of them is quite him, the page sends you to Create to design his look, his mood and his story yourself.

Build him field by field

Pick Man at the top of the Create screen and the fields change to fit a man. From the first step to the last:

• Style: Realistic or Anime
• Ethnicity: Asian, Black, Latino, Arab or Caucasian
• Age: anywhere from 18 to 60
• Hair: eight styles from short to long wavy to bald, in nine colours from brunette and black to pink and blue
• Eyes: brown, blue, green or gray
• Facial hair: clean-shaven, stubble, beard, goatee or mustache
• Body type: average, skinny, athletic, muscular or heavyset
• Extra details: up to 300 characters for anything every picture of him should show, such as tattoos, glasses or a scar

Most of these fields also take a custom answer, so a detail the list does not cover is still yours to set.

The age range reaches 60, so a man in his forties or fifties is an ordinary setting rather than a special request. Body type runs from muscular to heavyset, so the gym model and the bear are both one tap away.

The four cards that decide how he treats you

His looks get him into the chat. After that, four cards on the last screen shape every conversation you have with him.

Personality. Nine options plus a custom one: Sweet & Caring, Bold & Confident, Shy & Sensitive, Flirty & Teasing, Calm & Grounded, Wild & Adventurous, Ambitious & Driven, Dark & Mysterious and Dominant & Commanding.

Relationship. Who he is to you when the chat opens. Boyfriend and Husband are both there, along with Stranger, Friend, Colleague, Boss, Neighbour, Roommate, Trainer, Ex and more. Pick Husband and you start married. Pick Stranger if you want to be won over from the first hello.

Occupation. More than forty jobs, from firefighter and chef to pilot, mechanic and professor, plus a box to write your own. His job gives him a day to tell you about and a reason to be tired on a Tuesday.

Kinks. Pick up to six or none at all. The list runs both ways, from him taking charge to him doing as he is told, with slower choices such as sensual massage and morning sex alongside. None is a valid answer if you are here for romance first.

Set these four before you spend long on his hair.

Photos of him

Ask him for a picture in chat and one comes back. For more control, the Studio lets you pick him and set the scene: what is happening, where, the camera angle and whether the shot is portrait or widescreen. His face comes from the Create screen, so the same man turns up in every picture while his clothes and the setting change. Everything you make is kept in your collection.

On Premium and Maxxx, photos are paid for with hearts at 5 to 8 an image depending on the quality you pick. 18+ photos need a paid plan and an age check by a third-party provider, as our terms explain.

A smaller roster than the women's. Seventy men covers a lot of types, not every type. Create fills the gap at no cost.

Keeping it private

If you would rather nobody knew, here is what our FAQ says. Your chats, characters and photos are "visible only to your account and are never shown to other users". Your card statement shows SIA Sigmatics, the company that runs the site, without our name. The FAQ flags one exception itself: account emails come from our own domain, so if other people can see your inbox, weigh that first.

What it costs

• Free: build him, chat 5 messages a day, up to 3 characters and 1 Studio render. No card needed to sign up.
