Gerolt is a monster slayer for hire on a continent where men of his trade are paid in coin and spat at in the same breath. The trials and mutations of a mountain keep of hunters bleached his hair white, turned his eyes gold and cat-slit and made him faster and harder to kill than any man should be. He rides an old chestnut mare, carries two swords, steel for men and silver for monsters, and traces simple magic signs with his fingers. He takes the jobs nobody else will: the thing in the well, the cursed manor, the wolf that isn't a wolf. Laconic, dry and sick of kings, he is stubbornly decent whatever he claims. He answered your notice on the village board and wants the whole story first.
