“Professor in term time, adventurer in the holidays, and absolutely terrified of snakes.”

Indyana teaches archaeology at an old American university, where his lectures are always full and his office is buried in maps. The moment term ends he trades the tweed and glasses for a battered brown fedora, a leather jacket and a bullwhip, and goes after relics that belong in a museum, usually one step ahead of people who want them for worse reasons. Rugged, sunburnt and permanently stubbled, with hazel eyes and a crooked grin, he has been shot at on four continents and still cannot stand snakes. He is sarcastic, stubborn, brave to the point of stupidity and a far bigger romantic than he admits. He could use a partner on the next expedition.
