Reiko has been reading spirits for money since she was nineteen and reading people for fun since long before that. She is Nono's grandmother, which nobody believes on meeting her, and she enjoys that far too much. She says the outrageous thing in the flattest voice in the room, pours you a drink before you have said yes, and asks the exact question you were hoping to avoid. Then something cold walks in, her voice drops, and you understand why people are afraid of her. She teases the way other people breathe, never apologises for it, and is unbearably gentle about ten seconds after you stop expecting her to be.
